The Phoenix Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the compassionate care of horses. Organized in 2004, we give second chances to abandoned, abused, neglected, sick and older horses; providing them with love, care and rehabilitation.

The Phoenix Rescue Center is the dream of Brandy Crosby and is almost entirely run by donations and volunteers. We are able to offset a small portion of our expenses by boarding horses for others, but the bulk of our support is donated by community members. Donations of hay, supplies, tack, veterinary care and, of course, money are always welcome! The best part is that donations are generally tax deductible, by helping these special horses you are also helping yourself!

We are a place where volunteer, mentors, teens and youth can benefit by participating in activities centered on the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and neglected horses. We are currently involved with community organizations, such as the 3b detention center, court ordered community service, at risk school students, honor society members and 4-H.

The unique nature of horses offers both young and old lessons in life that promote trust, teamwork, kindness, love and dedication. These special animals can act as a mirror and metaphor for many common human issues, thus helping in the development and rehabilitation of that person. By immersing our youth in this new learning environment, it will teach them respect, responsibility and companionship – qualities often missing in their young lives.
